DAIRY
Continuous monitoring of process streams and waste streams in a dairy industry setting can provide various benefits to the operators. One major benefit is that it is possible to minimize product lost to the waste stream by means of reliable online monitoring of organics (TOC) at various points in the plant. In addition, due to the nitrogen deficient nature of milk wastes it is possible to optimize ammonia dosing by accurately and continuously monitoring the organic loads entering the waste stream. Valuable monitoring applications include milk fat content, product loss (milk in condensate), protein quantification and optimizing nutrient addition for waste treatment.
