Tel Aviv, Israel, October 23, 2013 — Real Tech Inc., an award winning Canadian company that has developed a product line of portable and real time water quality analyzers and Israel’s prestigious national water company, Mekorot, are pleased to provide an update on their joint development project for improving identification of water quality events in real time during this year’s 4th bi-annual Watec Israel 2013 exhibition and conference. Utilizing Real Tech’s innovative, yet cost effective, continuous Spectrum Analyzers combined with the statistical analysis capabilities of Mekorot’s Water Quality and Models departments, they are mid-way through their project for developing a model for automated identification of irregular water quality events. Real Tech and Mekorot have now entered into the second year of their two-year program to develop this software system. The project’s success and the developed capability will enable extensive deployment of water quality, identification instruments, and improve Mekorot’s capabilities in this area. The project is partially funded by the Canada-Israel Fund (CIIRDF) and the Chief Scientist of the Israeli Commerce and Trade Ministry (OCS). “Real Tech’s partnership with Israel’s national water company, Merokot, is a perfect example of how Ontario innovation and expertise is making a difference around the world. Ontario has some 900 innovative water technology companies providing solutions at home and abroad. Through organizations like Ontario’s WaterTAP, our government is taking a proactive role in helping these companies succeed on the world stage,” said Dr. Eric Hoskins, Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Employment. Real Tech is honoured to be selected by the Ontario government to participate in the Government Trade Mission to Israel as well as showcasing in the Ontario Government Pavilion (Hall 10 – Booth 65) at Watec.
