CONTAMINANT REMOVAL EFFICIENCY

Contaminants in water have their own unique properties. To remove each target contaminant effectively it’s often necessary to employ multiple stages of treatment based on source water quality. Treatment such as granular activated carbon (GAC) is often used after coagulation to further enhance organic removal, while technologies such as Ion Exchange (IX) or Reverse Osmosis (RO) target contaminants such as nitrates. Effective removal is essential as elevated concentrations can lead to serious health effects.

GAIN THE INFORMATION YOU NEED:

Monitoring contaminants in real time prior to treatment provides an early warning of hydraulic loading, improving activated carbon lifetime for GAC or resin lifetime for IX while maximizing the treatment efficiency. Monitoring post treatment provides the ability to determine percentage removal and also provides an indicator for determining when regeneration is required.
